Single Malt Whiskey

Single mat whiskey is one of the most treasured alcoholic drinks, with plenty brands of Scotch offering aged, Irish, and other forms of whiskey.

Buying the right type of single malt whiskey for your next party, or just for your own personal enjoyment, can be a somewhat difficult task. There are so many different types of whiskey like this, as well as so many different brands, how can you ever be sure that you’ve found the perfect one for you to drink?  The real key is just knowing a little bit before you go to the liquor shop.  This way, you can know which brands are actually worth your time, money, and consumption, and which are just best left avoided.  It’s just a matter of finding the most ideal single malt whiskey for the flavor, or type of party that you’re planning on having.  There are a variety of different types as well, which guarantees that you’ll have plenty of choices.

When it comes to buying the right type of single malt whiskey, first it’s key to know exactly what makes this type different from others.  Several different types of whiskey can have different brewing processes, and in order to make them they can be mixed with all sorts of malts and flavors.  But with single malt whiskey, you’ll find that it’s only ever used with one type of malted grain, and one type of distillery.  That’s because this really enriches the flavor, and ensures that your whiskey will have a much more risk and full taste.  That way, you can rely on that great whiskey feel every time you go to take a drink.

Of cause, when it comes to choosing the right type of single malt whiskey, a lot of different phrases get thrown around.  You can find Scotch whiskey, regular malt whiskey, and even American whiskey.  Knowing which type you want to try is really just a matter of figuring out which type of process seems the best.  You’ll find that malt whiskey is the most standard, and features 100% malted barley for the malt process.  That means you can always expect this drink to taste the same from any manufacturer, as any difference in production will mean that it’s no longer considered malt.

When it comes to Scotch, this is a special type of single malt whiskey that’s brewed specifically in Scotland, and that takes at least three years to fully mature.  But beware of imitators carrying the Scottish whiskey moniker, as they are fake and using the term Scottish has a much different meaning than Scotch.  Typically American whiskey is flavored with all different sorts of grains, so you can find all different types.  But this type of single malt whiskey is always distilled inside white oak trees, that feature charred inner walls for total and complete flavor.

Most liquor stores will carry a variety of different types of single malt whiskey, but beware the prices that can come with.  While a type that takes longer to distill is going to taste better, it’s also going to be much more expensive.  For that reason, you’ll have to be prepared for the higher price, if you’re looking for real quality single malt whiskey.
